Happy Valentine's Day Readers!!!
I've never understood what exactly it is about today that gets people so freaking angry. I know quite a few people who hate today and I just don't understand it.
Since 2007, I think last year was the first time I got a Valentine's Day gift and during those periods when I didn't I was never angry. Love is such a beautiful thing. People say cliched things like you should show your love every day of the year, yaddy ya.
But let's be real. Sometimes life gets in the way. And I think it's just nice to have a day when you stop and love your lover. So why are other people so angry at this? Is cause they're single? Cause I've never understood that. If people want to celebrate their love on this special day and be cliched and buy chocolates and flowers for their loved ones, how exactly is it affecting everyone else?
Some peoples' issue is that it's a commercialized holiday and a chance for "the man" to make money from us little people from all the shopping we do on that one day. Well yeah, sure, but so is every other freaking day of the year. It's not like on all the other 364 days people just stop buying chocolates, flowers, lingerie and so on. "The man" takes advantage of us every time we swipe our cards so stop masking your bitterness with unfounded "logic".
I love today. Maybe it's cause I just like receiving presents. But even when I'm not receiving anything, I love seeing couples enjoying this special day and taking the time to just be with each other and I'm tired of bitter, cynical, jaded people constantly bashing valentine's day like it's the universe's fault that you're single. And really no one said valentine's day has to be about romantic love. It's about love in general. So worst case scenario, love yourself, go buy a box of chocolates for yourself. or a pair of shoes, or some jewelry. Who cares? Just stop bashing V. Day. and love yourself if you have no one else to love you.

I got a Val gift from a girl, too bad I had nothing to give in return.
